About Wordbot

Wordbot is a personal project of Austin Smith, and was built in the middle two weeks of June, 2008. It's a tool which will hopefully evolve into something which will help readers and writers automate the research process. We don't intend to compete with major search engines or information sources; we only seek to parse documents, provide statistics, and illuminate other information across the 'net.

• Many more integrations with other sources, including those that provide images, video, and academic research materials.
• Improved term processing and HTML parsing.
• Parse and re-serve RSS feeds to include links to related content.
• Saving and sharing documents.
• A comment section on the right side of the page for shared documents.
• A way for users to refine the text that Wordbot extracts from web pages.
• A "learning mode" for Wordbot to improve the term extraction technology.

Web Service Sources

We currently implement web services from Daylife and Amazon. We anticipate integrating many more sites into Wordbot to create a one-stop destination for research. If you know of a source which would be particularly useful, feel free to suggest it.
